Counselling and Walk & Talk Therapy in Chesham, Amersham and surrounding areas

Life has a habit of throwing a spanner in the works when you least need or expect it. From a specific issue to a general feeling that things could be a little better, counselling and therapy allows us to broach these sometimes difficult topics in a safe, supported and confidential environment.

I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor, working with clients on a wide range of emotional issues. My method combines a ‘client centred’ approach meaning that you take the lead during the time we have together – at your speed, talking about what you want to talk about, alongside psychotherapeutic principles   that allow us to work deeply to understand your past, your relationships and life patterns.

I am experienced in working with people of all ages and enjoy working with couples as well as individuals. Having a background in the arts, I am also open to working creatively through writing, drawing, movement or drama. I work both in person and on Zoom.

Just a few things people talk about in counselling sessions include:Heather Blakeborough

“Making the first step to have counselling is a huge one, Heather made that step much easier for me. I felt at ease quickly and able to open up at my pace, with absolutely no pressure. I explored sensitive areas and difficult experiences in my life and Heather gave me great support in doing so. During my time with Heather, it enabled me to think more rationally and overcome issues that have really impacted on my life. Thank you very much!”
